Edward Tufte is an extraordinary and very rare observer of our world.
I have learned a great deal from him, and recommend that if you are able to visit any of the following, or attend any of his lectures, GO.

Hi Chauncey, I love the blog and wish I could get to SF to attend one of Fernando’s courses but I can’t afford it and I would need to hypnotise Billy to fund me “(look into my eyes…you must pay for Ken to go to SF)!!
I was delighted to see you have made reference to Eward Tufte, I cam across his work some years ago and loved his essay on The Cognitive Style of PowerPoint which then led me to buy his wonderful, and beautifully produced book “The Visual Display of Quantitative Information” – the chapter on how John Snow proved that the outbreak of cholera could be traced to the pump in Broad Street is fantastic. I feel we shoudl make all 6 Sigma Black Belts read this as it shows that you can do a heck of a lot more with a clever scematic than endless spreadsheets.
Anyway, I hope you are well and will be recommending your blog to others who need to get their heads around your blogging!
Best regards
Ken
